Picture of Maria

A little bit about myself

I’m Maria and the years I’ve spent in getting trained into cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and psycho-oncology have helped me built an expertise meant to offer support to those struggling with anxiety, depression, phobias or addictions; those who experience issues within their couple; cancer patients and their families. Every time with care and responsibility. Always with empathy. I lived in 4 countries, traveled extensively and always had a fascination and intense curiosity towards diverse cultures, traditions, people and their stories. I am sure that this profession chose me long before I chose it.

My Approach

I never believed in a ‘one size fits all’ type of approach. Even though I spent the majority of my formation in cognitive behavioural therapy, the trainings, courses and learnings I have found might work better for some people stem from other approaches – systemic therapy, schema therapy, trans-generational family therapy.

Regardless of the methods and techniques used, I am deeply committed to finding the best way of working together in a safe, judgement-free environment, where empathy has always been my strongest ally and wisest guide.
